That day, once again, we gathered somewhere no one had called us to. Away from the public eye, we captured five waves in constant, restless motion, each taking on a shape of its own. Through this album, EVNNE gathered and blended the sounds they love, discovering new possibilities for joy along the way. Rather than focusing on what others might like, they listened to what moves them now. As the five members come together, each expressing their own sound and responding to one another, those fragments gradually build into music that is uniquely EVNNE.

The album’s jacket imagery follows a day in the lives of the five members as a sound-collecting club. With ID cards around their necks, they wander through familiar spaces, tuning in to sounds and scenes they might otherwise have passed by without a second thought. The resonance beneath an overpass, a moment of sunlight scattering, a bicycle carrying a speaker, the vibrations of trains and cars, and sounds drifting through alleyways. Through the eyes of the five members, these different sounds and images come together to form a single record.

The fragments they collect take on another musical form on the rooftop where the members gather. It is a time to look in the same direction, listen, talk, joke around, and enjoy the things they love together. Without needing a grand purpose or anyone else’s approval, these moments reveal EVNNE’s most honest approach to music.

그날도 우리는 아무도 부르지 않은 곳에 모여 있었다.

사람들의 관심이 닿지 않는 곳에서, 치열하게 움직이며 각자의 모양을 만들어가는 다섯 개의 파동을 기록했다. EVNNE은 이번 앨범을 통해 자신들이 좋아하는 소리를 직접 모으고 섞으며 그 안에서 새로운 재미를 발견했다. 남들이 무엇을 좋아하는지보다 지금 우리를 움직이게 하는 것에 귀를 기울였다. 다섯 멤버가 같은 곳에 모여 각자의 소리를 내고 서로의 소리에 반응하는 순간, 그 조각들은 어느새 EVNNE만의 음악으로 쌓여간다.

이번 앨범의 자켓은 '음악 채집 동아리'가 된 다섯 멤버의 하루를 담았다. ID 카드를 목에 걸고 익숙한 공간을 돌아다니며, 평소에는 무심코 지나쳤을 소리와 장면에 귀를 기울인다. 굴다리 아래 울려 퍼지는 공기의 울림, 햇살이 부서지는 순간, 스피커를 싣고 달리는 자전거, 철도와 자동차가 만들어내는 진동, 골목 사이로 흘러나오는 소리까지. 서로 다른 소리와 이미지들은 다섯 멤버의 시선 안에서 하나의 기록으로 쌓여간다.

그렇게 모인 조각들은 멤버들이 함께 모이는 옥상에서 또 다른 형태의 음악이 된다. 같은 곳을 바라보며 듣고, 이야기하고, 장난치고, 자신들이 좋아하는 것을 함께 즐기는 시간. 거창한 이유나 누군가의 인정을 필요로 하지 않는 이들의 모습은, 음악을 대하는 EVNNE의 가장 솔직한 태도이다.
